I don’t yet have any children of my own, unless you count my cats, but I’m recently married and love that I get to style little ones vicariously through all my clients.
Black. I don’t drink coffee everyday so I can really appreciate a simple cup of coffee.
I spent the first 18 years of my life living in Moorestown, NJ so naturally I’ve felt the calling to move several times since then. I’m currently making my way down the list of most populous US cities starting with NY, LA and now I’m happily in Chicago!
Trendy, edgy, eclectic but polished.
My inspiration is derived from my sisters. Everyday they’re pursuing their passions and following their dreams from tutoring teens in english to teaching dance classes to their peers. They know what makes them happy and they pursue it! I’m so proud of the strong and unabashed women they are.
My happy place is definitely down the Jersey shore. I love being close to the water, it’s so calming. Nothing is better than reading a good book on the beach with a cocktail (under an umbrella).
For parents and children who differ on style, I always send lots of separates that each will love and encourage them to style them together. For a preppy mom and sporty boy I always send a pair of Mayoral Twill Pants since they’re so easy to move in but a classic silhouette, a more casual cotton top, preferably with stripes (Joules has great soft options) and a personalized Rey to Z Baseball Cap! For a trendy mom and girly girl I love including pink pieces with playful, trendy prints! Like a great romper from Joah Love or Peas & Queues! Or I’ll send a lined tutu from Couture Clips with a distressed denim shirt from DL 1961!
My perfect Saturday starts with a refreshing run along the lake, followed by an acai bowl and coffee (still trying to find the perfect one in Chicago), then shopping for home goods to fill my new apartment or unique clothing finds at Anthro (I’m very skilled when it comes to Anthro sales), pausing at home for a late afternoon cuddle with my cats, followed by dinner and drinks with my husband and friends.
To me, doing it all, means I feel fulfilled and happy in my day to day. That I brought joy to someone else that day, that my cats and I had a good cuddle, and that my husband and I completed the crossword puzzle, discovered a great new recipe or just caught up on some of our favorite shows.
I love working at Mac & Mia because of the energy, creativity and inspiration my co-workers bring to the table every day. I’m constantly inspired by our amazing remote stylists who balance being moms and working (sometimes 2 jobs) each and every day. As well as everyone working out of the Chicago office who simultaneously know how to have fun and buckle down.
