I have 2 kids, one of each! Zoe is 6 and Myles is 3 1/2.
I like cold brew coffee with milk.
Grew up in the suburbs of Boston. I live close to the city now but we’re planning a move to burbs this spring!
Classic clothes with a trendy twist.
I always feel inspired creatively and otherwise after a trip to the city to shop, go to a museum, even just people watch. I love seeing what’s new and out there to feel inspired in my own life.
The beach! We head to the beach in the summer as much as we can, we all just love it!
From age 18 months my (very stubborn) daughter would only wear dresses. It took me a while to get used to her refusing to wear the stylish jeans and cute tops I’d buy for her but after I started getting her fun, creative, different dresses (i.e. not all pink tutus like she’d prefer) that we both love and discovered bike shorts to wear under her dresses in the summer, things got better. I learned you have to let your kids be themselves and it’s not worth the fight to get them to wear something they don’t want to wear! Plus it’s fun to see what outfits they put together…
Quiet morning at home drinking coffee, watching a cartoon and snuggling on the couch with my kids. Going for a quick run by myself with some fun music. Then we get dressed and head to the city for an outdoor event (like a food truck festival or farmer’s market), grab lunch, and have a fun afternoon out and about. Then if it’s a truly perfect day we’d have scheduled a babysitter and my husband I would go to the movies and grab drinks after the kids are in bed.
Feeling satisfied and happy with my every day. Not everything on the to-do list gets tackled every day but as long as everyone is (mostly) happy and healthy I’ve done it all.
I love working for a company started by a woman who truly understands the many hats women wear. As a working mother, it’s a breath of fresh air to work for a company like Mac & Mia that makes the lives of other busy mothers (and parents) easier and less stressful. I also can’t say enough how fortunate I feel to work for a company where you can get your work done where/when it’s convenient. It’s a great way to disrupt the lives and schedules of my children less while helping to provide for my family and pursue an industry I have always been passionate about. Plus I’m obsessed with clothes and putting outfits together so it’s the perfect job for me.
